Getting Started with Tillo
Tillo provides two environments to our clients, a sandbox where you can begin your integration and a production site where you can perform live transactions.
Welcome
The Tillo API has been created to allow businesses to issue and service digital and physical gift cards from a vast range of retailer and
multi-retailer gift cards. There are a lot of different options available to integrators but we will aim to introduce these over the
next few sections to help you get up and running quickly.
If you have any questions around the integration or onboarding, please email [email protected].
If you'd prefer to have a call to help get up to speed more quickly just let us know and we can set-up on Zoom/Hangouts/Skype etc.
If you use Slack and would like to use this while integrating to our API let us know and we can either
share our Slack workspace or invite you to a guest channel.
To get straight in to the detailed explanation of all of the available endpoints with examples of each endpoint, please go to API Reference.
Sandbox set-up
The sandbox site is hosted independently on a separate domain (https://sandbox.tillo.dev) from production (https://app.tillo.io) - your user/API from one environment will not work in the other.
We endeavour to provide access to all brands and up to date information in the sandbox environment but please keep in mind that retailers can update information in production directly so you should make use of our Brands API call in production to keep up-to-date.
As well as the API you have access to a portal where you can manage your account, IP white listing, manage your floats, view transactions etc. Have a look through our help pages to understand what is available.
If you have not already been given access to your own sandbox account, please send an email with your request.
Certification
Once you have completed your integration you will need to go through our certification process to avoid any issues when going live.
Please request the certification document from the Onboarding Team, complete and return.
Going live
Once you're certified, your production account will be set up, and you'll receive a new welcome email to log in. Make sure you log in,
add your production IP addresses to the white list and create new 'live' API credentials (these are all independent of your sandbox account).
The production API base URL is https://app.tillo.io/api/v2.
Unlike your sandbox account, before performing any live transactions you will need to fund your account. Have a look through these articles for more information:
